TankGirls is a London based women's biker group setup in 2002 by Roachie who was trying to find other women bikers to ride with.  Group membership is open to all women however, the majority of members are not of the heterosexual persuasion.  Having said this we are not a gay group.  Tankgirls primary aim to is provide a space for women bikers to meet others, go for rides, share biker-chick information / passions and enjoy some non-bike related social events. It is not a political group and has no political affiliations. However, TankGirls may act as a voice for bikers when agreed by members (e.g.. if they tried to extend the London congestion charge to motorcycles you can bet we'd probably have something to say!). 
 
The foundation of the group is respect, as without this well...it's just not fun is    If you act in a way that is not  respectful of other members we might ask you to leave.  

We encourage all bikers to join, whether on sportsters, tourers, commuters, cruisers, trail or scooters.
